Google Cloud Printer was introduced in April 2010 as a future solution for printing from chrome. It allows simpler printing from more places. On July 23 2013, Google updated the service to allow printing from any windows application if Google Cloud Printer (GCP) is installed in the machine.
Google Cloud Printer is a technology that allows you to print over the web from anywhere including your phone to any printer.
Cloud ready printers can connect directly to the Google cloud print. You can print to your home printers while you are at office. It is very convenient.
Google Cloud Printer works whether you are in the same room as your printer or another continent!
So, If I want to print my document to a printer in Ladakh [India], No problem! That's so easy with GCP.
In this busy world everybody is too busy to even tell people how busy they are :D
Nobody in the printing ecosystem including users, developers and print manufacturers, want to extend the "driver mess". GCP eliminates the need for drivers and brings full-featured printing to a new generation of mobile and web-based applications.
It's also a zero setup when I get a new computer as soon as I am logged in to chrome I can print and it just works.No fiddling with drivers because that was already done once.
